45th ANNUAL KAMLOOPA POWWOW 2026
The 2026 Kamloopa Powwow was an unforgettable gathering, bringing together dancers, singers, families, and visitors to celebrate Indigenous culture, tradition, and community.
Throughout the weekend, the arbor was filled with powerful songs, vibrant regalia, and moments that reflected the strength of Indigenous Nations. From the Grand Entry to the final dance, every generation had a place, from tiny first-time dancers to respected Elders who continue to guide and inspire us.
One of the highlights of the weekend was the crowning of Miss Kamloopa Powwow Princess, marking the beginning of another year of leadership, cultural pride, and service to the community. Congratulations to Maegan, her family and friends.
Kamloopa was a place where old friends reunited, new friendships were made, dancers displayed their skills and families gathered to celebrate together. Every smile, handshake, hug, dance, and song reminded us that powwow is about more than competition. It's about keeping our traditions alive and strengthening the bonds that connect us. -AHO
